1957 - year Tubod was created into a municipality.
SHIELD - provincial seal of Surigao del Norte where
the town belongs. It also symbolized the 4 major thrusts, service, protection,
development and progress of the local government to improve the quality of life
of the people.
WATER AND TREES - abundance
of water, main sources of which are spring, "Tubod" in Visayan
dialect, where the municipality derived its name.
