1663 - represents the year when the Merdicas from Moluccas Island came to the place known as Barra de Maragondon now the town of Ternate.

FISHES AND NET - signify fishing industry as the main source of livelihood of the townspeople.

CROWN OF STO. NIÑO - in honor of the town's patron Saint of Sto. Niño.
