SHIELD - derived from the provincial seal of Rizal where the town is located.

1606 - the year Tanay was founded.

RADAR ANTENNA - represent the Philippine Communication Satellite Station (PHILCOMSAT) which is based in Tanay, Rizal.

VERDANT LAND AND TREES - represents the rich agriculture, pasture, agro-industrial, mineral resources, etc., of the municipality. Tanay is also famous for its wide mango orchards which produce one of the best mangoes in the Philippines.

WATERFALL - represents tourist industry of the municipality with its rich tourist spots like falls, underground caves, grotto, historical churches, dam, parola, spring, plateau and others.

STRUCTURE - represents all the public and private establishments, social, business, civic and religious, cultural, etc., of the municipality.

BLUE WAVY WATER - represents the rich marine industry of the municipality.
