CIRCLE - indicates unity and concerted
efforts towards the development of the municipality and the preservation
of its resources and culture.
SHIELD - derived from the provincial seal of
Nueva Ecija where the municipality belongs.
STAR ( TALA) AND THREE (3) RAYS - the
first two syllables of the name of the municipality of Talavera - the
guiding light of the poor farmers. The name also brings to mind the story of
the great love between Tala and Vera, according to the legend of this
municipality. The three (3) rays stand for Social Justice, Decision - Making
and Equality, the guiding principles of the incumbent elected municipal
officials in serving their constituents.
RICEFIELD - represents the twelve
(12) thousand-hectare fertile land of the municipality of Talavera.
RICEMILL - palay harvest is the main industry of
the people, and this is the reason for the fast progress of the municipality of
Talavera. Today there are numerous big rice mills present not only inside the
town but also in its rural areas.
FARMER, PLOW and CARABAO -
represent Talavera as an agricultural municipality, and the main livelihood of
the people is farming. Because of the inherent industriousness of the farmers,
the economy of this municipality is in a stable state. The plow, the main
farming implement used by farmers represents the plow made in Talavera, by the
the three (3) plow makers of the town. which is famous for being beautifully
done and sturdy and cannot be copied by other plow makers anywhere in the
country. The carabao represents the faithful partner of the farmers in tilling
the rice fields. It also represents the OTOP Product of the municipality, Carabao’s
Milk.
RICE STALKS - represent the bountiful palay harvest
of the municipality of Talavera; if Nueva Ecija is the former "rice
granary" of the Philippines. Talavera is the "rice granary" of
Nueva Ecija.
1872 - the year when the municipality of
Talavera was created.
VEGETABLES - Talavera is known as
the vegetable producer of Nueva Ecija and the "Tomato Basket" of the
Philippines. Aside from tomato, onion, eggplant, ampalaya, squash, string bean,
turnip and other vegetables are grown.
ROPE - depicts unity and concerted effort
toward the development of the municipality and the preservation of its
resources and culture, binding the 100,000 citizen of the municipality.
