SHIELD - derived from the provincial seal of Cebu where the town is located
RED, WHITE, BLUE, SUN AND THREE (3) STARS - derived from the Philippine National Flag, depicts the Republic of the Philippines as a sovereign country
RISING SUN - symbolizes progress, abundance and socio-economic growth; provides direction of the people and the government in line with the development of Santa Fe
SAIL BOAT - denotes fishing as one of the major sources of livelihood of the townspeople
FISH - tells that the town of Santa Fe was formerly one of the barrios of the Municipality of Bantayan named “Ogtong” which was derived from the fish locally known as “KOGTONG”, a big specie of Lapu-lapu; Santa Fe became a town by a superior Decree on October 3, 1872 and changed the name from “OGTONG” to “SANTA FE”, meaning Holy Faith
BLUE WATER - represents the bluish crystal clear sea water of the town
WHITE BEACH - describes the sugar-fine white sand, glittering beaches of Santa Fe whose beach resorts are considered the best in the province of Cebu and perhaps, one of the best in the country
CORN - symbolizes that corn farming is one of the livelihoods of the people. Farms are planted mostly with corn, a staple crop. The soil is also suitable for other agricultural crops
COCONUT - productive coconut trees are in abundance, whereby coconut is one of the major agricultural crops of the town
HEN - speaks of commercial poultry farms existing in the municipality, hence, Bantayan Island where Santa Fe belongs is considered the egg basket of Central Visayas
SHELL - stands for the shell craft industry as one of the sources of income of the townspeople wherein finished products are marketed nationwide and even exported abroad
