WATCH TOWER - locally known as "Bantayan Sa Hari", dates back to pre-Spanish period and built to protect the inhabitants from pirates. It symbolizes the vigilance, courage and alertness of the people.

BRIDGE - represents the strong thrust of the City in the infrastructure projects.

GEAR - symbolize the City’s program of technological development.

"MANTAWI" VINE - the name of Mandaue was derived from.

FOLIAGE AND WATER - depict the City’s desire for ecological preservation.

TWENTY SEVEN (27) STARS - represent the twenty seven (27) barangays comprising the City.

1969 - the year when Mandaue City came into being.
