TREES - represent the undying concern of Sagaynons on their upland environment.

WHITE DOVE - symbolizes the overwhelming peace in Sagay.

TWENTY FOUR (24) RAYS - signify the twenty four (24) barangays that comprise the City.

GREEN BASE OF THE SEAL - depicts the strong foundation of the City through the united leadership of the local officials and the people's active involvement in its developmental agenda.

TRIANGLE - connotes’ the balance in industry, environment and labor.

INTER-WEAVED HUMAN FIGURES - reflect every Sagaynons' commitment in realizing the dreams and aspirations for Sagay.

FISHES - symbolize the steadfast covenant of the city government and the people of Sagay on its marine conservation and protection endeavors.

LOCOMOTIVE - plays a vital role in the annals of Sagay's history as this mode of transportation hauled the lumber of Insular Lumber Company, ILCO (more particularly the legendary ILCO Train No. 7) in the early 1900's and sugarcane up to the present.

SUGARMILLS - symbolize the lifeblood of the majority of Sagaynons' from the planters, to the sugarcane plantation workers or "tapaseros" to sugarmill owners and to the market dealers.
