LINGKOD - official name adopted by the SPECIAL RESCUE UNIT which means SERVICE: "To give an individual a second chance to live, for that reason alone we are here to serve".

KALASAG - signifies shield against all kinds of disasters and calamities.

SIXTEEN (16) PILLARS - represent the sixteen (16) regions nationwide.

THREE (3) STARS - symbolize the three (3) major islands in the Philippines.

ROPE & CARABINER - represent the linkage and unity among the members of the rescue team.

MALTA CROSS - international symbol of Fire Service.

RED, WHITE AND BLUE CIRCLE - symbolizes the Philippine National Flag.

AXES - major equipment used by the firefighter in search and rescue operations; symbolizes the strength and determination of firefighters in Search and Rescue Operations.
