MALTESE CROSS - where the four major tools of the firefighters, the fire helmet, hydrant, nozzle and the ladder including the axe symbolize the main mission of the Burean of Fire Protection to save lives and properties of the people.

SHIELD - signifies the unwavering determination, Nationalism and Filipinism of the Bureau of Fire Protection to defend the welfare of the people.

THREE (3) STARS - represent Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao where the BFP serves.

SAMPAGUITA LEAVES - symbolize peace; stands for the triumph distinct for a winner which the BFP envisions to achieve in its mission.

GILANT CLAM - represents the protection for the people and the community against the disaster of fire and other major conflagration by using the water.

MAN (STANDING IN A VINTA) - symbolizes BFP's readiness and willingness to sacrifice their lives in the performance of their duty.
