THE PHILIPPINE MARINE CORPS EMBLEM - symbolizes the mother unit of the Assault Armor Battalion
THE CROSSED NAVY SABER - symbolize the old cavalry insignia in which the armor originated
THE LANDING VEHICLES TRACKED (LVT) - symbolizes the Corps’ first armor tracked wheels consisting of family of five namely: the LVTE (mine clearing); LVTR1 (recovery); LVTC (command vehicle); LVTP5 (personnel carrier); and LVTH6 (105mm Howitzer Turret)
“LAKAS LOOB” - which is the Unit’s motto denotes strength
THE YEAR “1972” - represents the year the Philippine Marines first created the armored vehicle. At the lower portion is the Unit’s name “ASSAULT ARMOR"
