OUTER CIRCLE - the outer circle in red setting contains the name, "ABRA STATE INSTITUTE OF SCIENCE S AND TECHNOLOGY", the official name of the institution, and "1983", the year ASIST was created by the virtue of Batas Pambansa Bilang 392, May 18, 1983

INNER CIRCLE - the inner circle in white setting contains a diamond frame in green color. Each side of the frame represents the four (4) major functions of the college which are INSTRUCTION, RESEARCH, EXTENSION and PRODCUTION

RICE PANICLE, TRACTOR AND YEAR UNDERNEATH - represent the Langangilang Campus. This denotes the humble beginnings of ASIST in 1908 as the Langangilang Farm School founded during the American Occupation, then became the Langangilang Industrial School, then  Langangilang High school, the then  Langangilang Agricultural College which was eventually converted as the present ASIST

GEAR AND YEAR UNDERNEATH - represent the former Abra School of Arts and Trades (ASAT) in Bangued, Abra which was integrated to ASIST by virtue of CHED Memorandum Order No. 27, s. 2000. ASAT traces its humble beginnings on the year 1912 as the Abra High School, then Abra National Trade School to ASAT

TORCH AND BOOK - located in between the two triangles signifies the vision of ASIST as the preferred center of quality education in the province of Abra

SUN DAWNING UPON MOUNTAINS, VALLEYS, RIVERS AND PLAINS - the sun represents the Institution while the mountains, valleys, rivers and plains typify the natural topography of the province of Abra with its human and natural resources. The eight (8) rays of the sun represent the core values of ASIST which are: Nobility, Entrepreneurship, Wisdom, Action, Sincerity, Integrity, Service and Teamwork
