SHIELD the designated provincial shield of the province of Batangas.

TAAL VOLCANO - famous natural landmark which is widely known for its unique feature.

WAVES - the four waves beneath the ocean vessel signify bodies of water surrounding or found within the province: Batangas Bay, Taal Lake, Balayan Bay, and Tayabas Bay.

SEA VESSEL - represents the international part that is vital to domestic and international trade.

GEAR AND SPARK - symbolically represent the province as an emerging "growth center" in Southern Tagalog.

BALISONG - otherwise known as the "butterfly knife" or a Batangas knife, a Philippine version of a folding knife. The 34 circle at the handle of the knife stand for the 3 component cities and 31 municipalities of the province.

HORSE - Batangas is famous nationwide for its horses. It is also used to represent the cattle and meat-processing industry.

COFFEE - stands for the coffee industry which dates back during the Spanish occupation.

1581 - the foundation year of the province of Batangas, formerly known as Balayan.
