SUN - with its yellow rays makes the whole town warm and optimistic early in the morning.
RED LETTER V - stands for the first letter of Vallehermoso.
1913 - the year the Vallehermoso was made a town in January 1 1913, when Gilbert Netwon signed the document to this effect through Governor Felipe Tayko.
SHIELD - derived from the provincial seal of Negros Oriental where the municipality belongs.
CANNON AND BALLS - represents the remnants of the bravery of the founder of the place, General Don Diego dela Viña. The 15 balls represent the solid effort left by Don Diego, which formed the 15 barangays that make up the Municipality of Vallehermoso.
MOUNTAIN - represents the place where Don Diego dela Viña rested while on his way to Binalbagan in search of territories to conquer. From the top of this mountain, he viewed a beautiful valley henceforth he called Vallehermoso.
COCONUT TREES, BANANA PLANTS, RICE FIELDS AND SUGARCANE - represent the agricultural products of the place.
BLUE SEA UNDER THE BLUE SKY AND BANCA - makes Vallehermoso an attractive place for sea bathing. This is also a source of income for the fisher folks. Lately, this has been developed as a tourist destination known as "La Playa de Vallehermoso".
CIRCULAR ROPE AROUND THE CIRCLE - symbolized the land area of Vallehermoso which is only 10,218.8672 hectares with 15 barangays. It is bounded by Canlaon City in the west, San Carlos City in the north, Tanon Strait in the east and the City of Guihulnagan in the south. The small size of the land with the boundaries around the barangays are closely knit.
TEXT - BAYAN NG VALLEHERMOSO hence its red color signifies the people's intent love for Vallehermoso, and the light golden color text of NEGROS ORIENTAL speaks how precious Vallehermoso is to God and for having protected it from so much disaster and overwhelming troubles.
