SHIELD - derived from the provincial seal of Bukidnon where the town is located.
OUTERCIRCLE - signifies the adventurous character of the populace, with the name of the municipality.
INNER CIRCLE WITH 16 STARS - signifies royalty and loyalty of the first settlers of this Municipality, the Higaonon Tribe scattered within the 16 Barangays of Baungon namely: Balintad, Buenavista, Danatag, Imbatug, Kalilangan, Lacolac, Langaon, Liboran, Lingating, Mabuhay, Mabunga, Nicdao, Pualas, Salimbalan, San Miguel, and San Vicente, as depicted by 16 stars.
RISING SUN - signifies that Baungon is moving towards development: politically, economically, socially, and spiritually.
MOUNTAIN RANGES - where the sun rises, depicts the Mt. Katinglad which adds beauty to the place being situated at its foothills.
WIDE PLAINS - show the vast productive farms that served as food basket painted with cassava, corn rice, banana and fruit trees which are the main source of livelihood of the people.
CATTLE HEAD - signifies that majority of the farmers use the working animal in their farm cultivation.
FLOWER - signifies Rafflesia Schadenbergiana, the largest rare flower in the world found in the municipality.
1956 - year when Baungon was converted into a Municipality.
