THREE STARS - represent the three big or major needs that if solved would light Cervantes, Ilocos Sur into a shining municipality, namely; road light and irrigation.
PALAY / GRAIN - represents the main product of the locality which is RICE.
TWO STUDS - represent the two major groups of people inhabiting the locality, namely; the ILOCANOS which inhabit the Poblacion and nearby barangays od San Juan and Remedios and the Cultural Minority group or KANKANAEYS which institute the greater portion of the population of the municipality at the same depicting Bessang Pass Monument.
PATTERNS - symbolize or represent the distinguishing feature of the Cultural Minority group seen in the Blankets, Tapis, and "Bahag" that they weave.
