CHURCH - depicts the St. James Parish Church.

COCONUT AND ABACAb - represent the major agricultural cash crops of the municipality.

FISH - stands for the rich aquatic resources in the municipality.

BLUE, RED, WHITE, AND GOLDEN-YELLOW COLORS - represent the colors of the Philippine National Flag.
