ANCHOR - signifies the major source of livelihood, fishing, and sea faring people of Cagayan. It will be noted that for many years and up to liberation, Pandan Port of Cagayan had been the home of scores of sailboats. Trade and commerce were then carried on these inter-island vessels reaching as far as Aparri, Cagayan in the north and Manila in the south, but subsequently displaced by cargo trucks and other land transportation.
