TORCH WITH GLOWING FLAME - epitomizes the spirit of 1898 which is the ever burning desire of the people for liberty, justice, and democracy.

CROSSED RIFLE AND SABER - indicative of the vigilance of the "CANDONIANS" which symbolizes their readiness to preserve and protect human rights and dignity.

TOBACCO LEAVES - represent the major cash crop of local farmers.

RED, WHITE, AND BLUE SHIELD - represent the Philippine Flag which symbolizes the spirit of nationalism.

"LIBERTY, JUSTICE AND DEMOCRACY" - emphasize the kind of government under which the people would like to live; the radiated ideal of the "glowing flame".

REPUBLIC ACT 9018 - the law that converts the municipality of Candon into a component city to be known as the City of Candon.
