SHIELD - derived from the provincial seal of Occidental Mindoro where the town is located.

TAMARAW HEAD - denotes that the animal is found in Mt.Iglit, Calintaan and is prominent in the province of Occidental Mindoro.

LEECH (LINTA) - connotes that the town was once a jungled place and its rivers were leech-infested, hence its name "Calintaan".

PLAY & RICEFIELD - signify that agriculture is the major source of livelihood n the municipality.

FISH & WATER - represent marine resources as the secondary sustenance of economy and livelihood in Calintaan.

7 TRIANGLES - represent the 7 barangays in the municipality.

1968 - marks the year the municipality was founded.
