OUTER GOLDEN RING - reflects the unity of the city with the whole island with gold symbolizing the richness of the place with its varied resources and rich environment.

GREEN BACKGROUND - symbolizes life, rich vegatation and relatively intact environment that sustain its people.

INNER GOLDEN RING WITH 62 PENTAGONAL FORMS - depicts unity among the city's 62 barangays and its inhabitants.

SKYBLUE COLOR - symbolizes peace with the sky representing peaceful living within the city.

1998 - the year when Calapn was established as a city.

PARALLEL BLUE BARS - depict the sea and water resources of the city as the prime source of livelihood of the coastal inhabitants; symbolize the city as the gateway through the sea to the island of Mindoro.

WHEEL - stands for progress and development of human activities and commerce.

RICE STALK WITH GRAINS - symbolize farming as one of the sources of livelihood of the people.

TREE - reflective of a city that needs to be sustained and cared for, just like a small plant that could grow into a full grown tree, which later, could give life to all within its shade.
