SHIELD - derived from the provincial seal of Isabela where the town is located.

SPEAR - represents the early inhabitants of the municipality known as "Kalingas" or people wearing "G-strings".

BELL TOWER - represents the Spanish landmark symbolizing Christianity.

PLOW, TOBACCO, & CORN - denote agriculture, the main source of income of the townspeople.

RIVER - represents the mighty Cagayan River that traverse and divides the municipality into two.
