SHIELD - derived from the provincial seal of Iloilo where the Municipality of Anilao belongs.
YELLOW CIRCLE - with "BAYAN NG ANILAO" in big bold black letters and "ILOILO" in small black letters, this signifies the municipality's emergence as one of the best performing local government units in the Province of Iloilo and her effort to keep Anilao on top despite of her financial insufficiency.
LIGHTED TORCH - Anilao today boasts of Banaag Festival – a festival that capsulated the rich cultural history of Anilao. In the past, the lighted torch saved many Anilaonons' lives from the evils of other men. Today the glow of light binds the Anilaonons together into a people of unity with a common hope, dreams, and aspiration of liberating Anilao from poverty.
FIELDS, MOUNTAINS, AND COASTAL AREAS - these represent the physical attributes of the Municipality of Anilao which basically thrives through agriculture as evidenced by its vast and lustrous fields, mountains and coastal areas. Though it is with meager financial resources, Anilao continually strive to be on top, to boost development in its midst and to give every Anilaonon a better future through nourishment of her natural resources.
