SHIELD - derived from the provincial seal of Cagayan where the town is located.

THE WHOLE SEAL - symbolizes the eastern and western territorial areas of the municipality as divided by Cagayan river for its farming and fishing industries; the mouth of the Cagayan river—as source of rare and prized seafoods; and the various creeks and smaller rivers—as source of livelihood to many Aparrianos.

PLANE AND BOAT - stand for the Aparri Airport and Seaport.
