SYMBOLISM

 

PHILIPPINE EAGLE – represents a keen sense of vision that is portrayed by the drill instructors/directorates in carrying their duty as mentors of aspiring soldiers. Its powerful beak and talons represent discipline and seriousness.

 

ANCHOR – symbolizes the Philippine Navy as the mother unit if the Philippine Marine Corps.

 

TORCH AND BOOK – denote high scholastic achievement, leadership, attitude, and knowledge which every soldier must possess upon completion of training at the Center.

 

SHIELD – stands for the primary duty of the soldier, which is to protect and defend the people and country against foreign aggressors as well as other lawless elements within.

 

MGBL – acronym for Maine Barracks Gregorio Lim, formerly known as Marine Base Ternate. The unit was names after Commodore Gregorio L. Lim, one of the pillars of the “A Company” (nucleus of PMC) who was also designated as the 2nd Commandant of the unit.

 

RIFLE – symbolizes the unit appreciation and understanding of the art of war and its ability to teach combat operation techniques using the most basic firearm of a Marine soldier­—the rifle.

 

MOUNTAINS – illustrate the geographical feature of the location of the training center in Ternate, Cavite which is secluded from conurbation. The area is also ideal for training and study for its quiet atmosphere and healthy environment.

 

COLORS – yellow stands for accomplishments and awards; red is for fire which denotes burning passion for carrying out the mission and vision of the Center; blue for fluvial domain where major drills are being conducted; and sky blue for aerial domain where airborne activities are held.
