TAMARAW - rare animal which can only be found in the island of Mindoro; denotes the uniqueness of the municipality

MAP - represents hope and aspiration of the local governance

RISING SUN - denotes progress and development for the municipality

13 SUN RAYS - represent the 13 barangays of the municipality

PALAY - stands for the major agricultural product

RIZAL MONUMENT - depicts Rizal as an intellectual, serving as challenge to the youth

ARCH - depicts march for progress through the efforts of municipal officials and employees

ANCHOR - symbolizes the potential of Bansud in fishing industry

ROPE - denotes strength and unity of the people

WHITE - stands for peace

YELLOW - stands for equal justice and freedom

GREEN - represents rich farmland and forest

BLUE - stands for peaceful tourist spots and rich aquatic resources

RED - signifies courage

GOLD - symbolizes prosperity

1959 - the year Bansud was created as an independent municipality
